behind the scenes of vpc worship
Let’s jump into the logistics and general information of being a volunteer for VPC Worship. Below you will find information on:

Time Commitment
Rehearsals & Soundcheck
Rehearsal Times:
Fridays @ 7:00pm
Saturday @ 10:00am
All volunteers will use Planning Center Online (PCO) as platform to accept/decline service invitations, view order of service, and see rehearsal times.
All volunteers are expected to be fully set up (gear, in-ears, etc.) by the start of rehearsal and soundcheck. Preparation is essential—please practice in advance and come ready, knowing your parts. All necessary resources are available on Planning Center Services for your scheduled serving date.
Substitutions & Last minute declines
We understand that plans may change last minute. If you have accepted a request and find that you are unable to attend due to change of plans, you will be responsible for finding your replacement. This can be done via Discord or reaching out to others individually. If you need contact information, please connect with the worship leader. Once a replacement is found, please communicate this change to the scheduled worship leader.
Scheduling
Scheduling is done through Planning Center every 2 months. You will receive a reminder on Discord. We ask that you confirm or decline requests within one week of receiving it. We also ask for your diligence in blocking out dates that you are unavailable in PCO.
Team nights & training sessions
VPC Worship has 2 Team Nights per year for the purpose of team bonding, worshiping together, sharing important announcements and updates, and communicating vision for the future. It is expected that volunteers do their best to attend these events. Details for these events will be sent out via Planning Center and Discord.
We always strive to equip our volunteers
for success and look for opportunities to grow them in their craft. With this goal in mind, we host team specific training sessions (vocalist team, musician team etc.) once every 1-3 months. The content of these sessions will vary depending on your team and the determined needs at the time. These training sessions are not always required, but your presence is strongly encouraged for your benefit. If the training is required, it will be communicated in advance. Details for these events are sent out via Planning Center Services invites.
